I am both honoured and proud to help guide and lead the LTSA in the pursuit of our vision of ‘making student life better’ across all La Trobe campuses.
Working with a diverse and experienced staff and enthusiastic Governing Board of Directors (all of whom are students), I immerse myself in all aspects of the Association so as to better understand student needs and how best to support the LTSA in achieving student, staff and stakeholder engagement.
After just over 19 years working for the BSA I am pleased to be able to continue to be a part of ‘making student life better’ across all La Trobe University campuses.
I’m excited to be a part of the newly formed La Trobe Student Association Ltd. and look forward to meeting new and returning students across all campuses in 2021.
I have worked in higher education for over 25 years. An alumnus of the University of Melbourne, I have a higher research degree in History and Literature and consider myself something of a history nerd. For the past 10 years I’ve worked at the La Trobe Student Union, first as Office Coordinator before moving into Advocacy.
I’m passionate in my support for students and am excited to be coordinating the Advocacy Service at LTSA. I am really looking forward to continuing La Trobe University’s strong tradition of advocacy through the provision of a service that is supportive, inclusive and accessible to students across all LTU campuses. In my spare time I enjoy walking, reading, creating elaborate desserts and following the exploits of the Collingwood Football Club.
I was appointed Financial Counsellor at the Student Union, La Trobe University in Melbourne in 2015 and worked there until 2020. Previously, I have worked with Uniting Care and formerly in the banking industry. I am a graduate of Economics from the University of Melbourne and hold a master’s in economics from RMIT University.
I became involved in the Positive Psychology movement in 2018 in order to practice this framework in financial counselling with University students. After completing the Professional Graduate Certificate in Positive Psychology in 2020, I am commencing my Masters in 2021, while also teaching in the Financial Counselling Diploma at RMIT.
The LTSA presents a great challenge to assist students in need in every campus, so that every student has an opportunity to succeed at La Trobe University. In my spare time, I can be found walking my dog and playing competition golf.
I am very excited to be in this new role which will enable me to continuously contribute to the university and serve international students. My 23 years of involvement in the Latrobe international community has been an enjoyable era and a fruitful journey in my life.
I feel as though our community has become one large family over the course of time as we face challenges and problems together, and at the same time create many great memories. I am very fortunate to have this opportunity to extend my joy of work and especially extend my engagement with international student committee and the team. Looking forward to work with the Team LTSA, and to develop excellent service and support to the new Student Council together.
I was previously a student at La Trobe Bendigo and have Bachelor of Business (Event Management/Marketing). Since graduating I have worked with students in various roles within the education sector. I am passionate about making sure that students have the best opportunities whilst completing their studies.
I am new to Albury Wodonga and I am excited to explore the area and surrounds. I look forward to working in a role which connects regional and small campus students with the larger La Trobe Community. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories and I’m always up for a chat if I’m not running around like crazy trying to set up an event or program!
I have had the pleasure of working with Clubs and Societies at the BSA since 2012. I’m so excited to be able to continue this work with the LTSA, and can’t wait to help new clubs get off the ground, as well as assist existing clubs to grow and meet the challenges that 2020 has thrown our way.
Clubs and Societies are such an important part of the student experience, and I feel so lucky to contribute to making student life better through the work I do.
I started at La Trobe University as an International Student to do a Master's degree in IT in 2017. Since my first semester, I was heavily involved with several clubs under the La Trobe Student Union LTSU Clubs are an integral part of Student life, and in fact, the Heart of University. I can proudly say that getting engaged with Clubs is one of the best things I have done after coming to Australia, and it helped change my life in many ways, learn more about the place and develop many skills.
I started as an Event Assistant at LTSU in 2017 and assisted all areas of events run by clubs, the LTSU & Student Theatre and Film LTU. I am excited to run and support clubs’ and see all the great events and activities that Clubs and Societies will bring to the LTU community. I want students to have the same experience I once received as a student and be a voice to the clubs at the LTU.
I am the Student Theatre & Film Engagement Officer at the LTSA. I work with a thriving community of students to create opportunities for them to explore their creativity and artistic practice through a series of productions, festivals, and events. Outside of the LTSA, I am an independent creative producer – working with artists to pursue their wildest artistic dreams.
I have worked at the Bundoora campus of La Trobe University for 18 wonderful years. For the past 10 years I’ve been employed as Receptionist and Volunteers Officer at the LTSU and was the first port of call for students seeking help from the support services. My friendly welcoming manner to all who came in the door, meant that I was often referred to as the face of the Student Union.
I am excited to be back on campus in my role as Advocacy Engagement Officer for LTSA. I’m passionate about student life and creating an environment that is positive and welcoming. Not to mention, I love a good chat! In my spare time, I love to read, dance and listen to thought-provoking podcasts. I adore dogs of all shapes and sizes and, like Louise, am a one eyed Collingwood supporter.
I am a LTU Graduate in BA, Humanities/Social Sciences (Hons). I have worked within the Education, NFP and Government sectors. My favourite roles have been when working within University institutions, watching students develop and grow in their specific areas of study.
I love working alongside tertiary students and assisting them in reaching exceptional learning opportunities and positive student outcomes.Outside of work, I love to spend time with my family and friends, play sport, watch social & cultural documentaries and explore Melbourne’s wonderful array of cafes & restaurants. When I get the time, I love nothing better than getting spending a Sunday with a good book and reading the afternoon away!
I have had the pleasure of working for the BSA at the Bendigo Latrobe Campus since 2011. My first role was as Retail Manager of Runes Stationery and Arts Supplies shop. For the last 4 years I have worked as Student Services Officer and Stationery Shop Manager. The most enjoyable aspect of my job is the daily interaction with students. I thoroughly enjoy the diversity of my role and I am excited to be working as part of the LTSA team to help make student life better.
I am the Student Services Officer for the Bundoora campus, and am here to help with all your inquiries. I have an honours degree in Creative Arts from La Trobe University.
When not working at LTSA, I write, make theatre, perform improvised comedy, and attend live music gigs.
I am one of the new team members at La Trobe Student Association. I am here full-time as Engagement and Marketing Coordinator based in Bendigo but with university wide responsibility.
I have worked for many years as a graphic designer in a wide range of industries and I am really excited to start working as part of the LTSA team. I enjoy pottering around in the garden in my spare time along with volunteering for various community-based organisations including Foodshare Bendigo. I love to travel and can’t wait to get out and about once restrictions are eased.
I am a fresh face at La Trobe and the LTSA – I am based in Bendigo and my key focus is to help facilitate quality student connections and memorable events. I have many years of experience working within private clubs and hotels in an array of events yet still love the thrill and excitement that comes with organising events.
Outside of my role, I love seeing live gigs, and travelling – to combine both is the ultimate! I am also an avid recycler and am enjoying being more eco-conscious – I spend much of my spare time shopping second hand and seeing what I can upcycle.

My name is Cindy and I am the new Student Support & Engagement Officer at the Shepparton Campus. Previously, I was employed as a Youth Coach/Case Manager. I worked with Youth who had risk determinants of homelessness, including; family violence, school disengagement, risky/illegal behaviour, sexual assault and mental health.
I have a strong passion for helping and supporting people to reach their goals and dreams for the future and I am very excited to be a part of the new LTSA team. I am a busy solo parent to two beautiful girls 17yo & 7yo. Who are both actively involved in the community through various sporting clubs and activities. I love to travel and have been lucky enough in the past to have travelled internationally, many times. My adventures will be within Australia now for the forceable future.
Hi, I am one of the new team members at La Trobe Student Association. I am the Student Support and Engagement Officer for the Mildura Campus. I have been a teacher for several years, and I am excited at the opportunity to make student life an enjoyable, supportive, and inclusive experience.
In my spare time, I enjoy socialising and exercising with friends and family. As a family we love to camp, travel, and explore remote areas of Australia. I love to meet new people and looking forward to being part of the LTSA team.
I'm new to La Trobe and the LTSA family, I've recently joined the team as Events Engagement Officer.
I have a background in events, predominantly Arts & Music Festivals and have been involved with universities in implementing a wide range of events for students for multiple years now. I am passionate about events as I view them as a place for people to express themselves and connect. I have a strong love for the outdoors, particularly mountain biking, hiking and rock climbing.
I am excited at the opportunity to create some unique and interesting events for students.
I have spent 27 years teaching in a variety of school settings, with some teaching opportunities in primary classes, but mostly within private and public secondary schools. I have also taught Foundation Studies at Victoria University. I happily lives with my two dogs, I enjoy creating mosaic projects in my own time and I volunteer at Seaworks Maritime Museum in Williamstown.

Hi! I’m Siobhan. I’ve recently joined the team as the regional advocacy engagement officer.
I’m excited by the opportunity to be part of building a dynamic student advocacy service. I’ve worked in higher education for over 20 years, 14 of those at Monash Uni. I’ve undertaken several different roles across my career, but my passion lies with student support and services.
I’m a fierce advocate for students and believe it is incredibly important to feel seen and heard. I’m looking forward to working with you to drive change, empower, to find solutions together and to support your student journey. Let’s make student life better!
I am a lawyer from West Heidelberg Community Legal (WHCL) and I have recently joined the La Trobe Student Association Legal Service. The LTSA and WHCL have formed a partnership to provide accessible legal advice to La Trobe students across all campuses. I’m really excited to be involved with this partnership as I believe a free legal service is crucial to support students through their time at university.
I have worked as a financial counsellor for the last 18 years coming from a retail and visual arts background. Since 2017 I have had a connection with La Trobe University delivering financial counselling through La Trobe’s Student Association. I have a passion to support all students with advocacy, information and support to achieve their financial wellbeing. With this support students are then able to focus on their studies.
