BAPS was set up in the year 2001 and now represents around 65% of Pharmacy students on campus.

BAPS endeavours to:
Provide networking opportunities between fellow pharmacy students on a state and national level and between pharmaceutical focused organisations.
Promote pharmacy awareness within the community and on a tertiary education level.
Promote the rights of a pharmacy student on experiential placements and within external pharmacy student employment.
Provide vocational options for future employment to pharmacy students.
Provide further educational opportunities to pharmacy students through external resources.
Provide pharmacy students with current professional information.
Portray the role as future health care advocates.
